THE NGOs COUNCIL LAUDS NATIONAL PRAYERS BREAKFAST MEETING FOR THE COUNTRY
The NGO Council of Kenya has welcomed the prayers sessions for the country since it brings leaders together to and utilize the opportunity to seek Devine intervention for the nation's social economic challenges, during the recent national prayers H.E President Uhuru Kenyatta and other leaders present affirmed that the August 9 2022 election would be peaceful, free and fair.
The NGO Council urges the leaders to build on the spirit of tolerance and reconciliation as exhibited during the 19th National Prayer Breakfast so as to end any feuds and embrace one another a clear gesture of forgiveness and tolerance on any perceived misunderstanding among leaders.
The NGO Council notes the road to a peaceful Campaigns and transition Elections in August begins now not tomorrow and leaders should embrace the olive branch and extend thesame to every Kenyan.
Cheboi restated sentiments expressed by Stephen Cheboi chairman of NGO Council called for an end to divisive politics and religious leaders to root for a peaceful free and fair general election.
'Let the country not enter the elections with the country still divided down the middle" Cheboi said stressing that the president, his deputy among other leaders owe the country a peaceful legacy free from divisive infighting for power.
