The National Council of NGOs is urging all Candidates of various political parties in Kenya and all the  independent Candidates  in Kenya to CAMPAIGN peacefully as they seek support of Kenyans ahead of  Tuesday 9th August 2022 General Elections

The Council of NGOs is appealing to  all political leaders in every of the party and political parties Coalitions participating in the General Elections to rally all their Members and supporters to preach PEACE  and HARMONY among all Kenyans during the campaign period in every part of the Country.

The NGO Council strongly condemns ugly incidents indicating unethical behaviour and   and disruption of  public  political meetings and rallies.

 The Council of NGOs urge all party leaders and candidates to tame the supporters from heckling or disrupting peaceful meetings of their competitors and political opponents.

The NGOs  Council and all the NGOs/CSOs from around the country will  continue leading efforts and mobilize  Peace stakeholders to carry out a National Peace Campaigns ahead of the General Elections.

 The  NGOs Council urges all to strictly adhere to the Electoral Code of conduct during Campaign's and Elections day.

The Council shall continue to work with other key stakeholders including the Ministry of Interior and Coordination of the National Government to ensure peace  continue prevails in our Country.

The NGO Council under its National initiative "Mwananchi Peace initiative" will mobilize Women, the Youth and the elderly,political leaders and all Kenyans to prioritise peace in the country.
